Re: Magnetometer

Test code for HMC5883L for Arduino may be found at:
Jeff Rowberg's GitHub

Note that you need the Libraries (HMC5883L.h and HMC5883L.cpp) to run the code (.ino).

Re: HOW TO USE USBASP AVR Programmer

If you are able to upload hex files directly, then you may try to generate the Intel .hex files from Arduino IDE. While uploading the programs from Arduino IDE, you need to look for the following status message: (Blink code example) Binary sketch size: 1,084 bytes (of a 32,256 byte maximum) /Applica...

Re: How to get real motion data using MPU6150

In continuation of the previous post, if you want the data in human readable format, such as Euler angles or yaw-pitch-roll values, you should use the DMP sketch in the examples folder . There is also a nice Processing sketch in the same folder to graphically view the orientation result. [Be sure to...

Re: How to get real motion data using MPU6150

This is completely normal behaviour from MPU-6150. If you look at the full scale readings of Accel's and Gyro's components, they are 16-bit, i.e., the values vary from -32768 to 32767. See the attached screenshot of my current setup. SS1 shows when the setup is lying on the table. SS2 shows a hard t...

Re: MPU6150 connection failed - using Arduino Uno with LLC

Unsoldered Male headers may also cause problems.
Just to test the device, you may solder single strands of wires (fine wires) so that they can be easily removed in the final application.

Re: MPU6150 connection failed - using Arduino Uno with LLC

There is one problem!
Loose connections.

Since you have not soldered the wires to IMU and LLC, there is intermittent connection between the devices.
Solder the wires to the PCBs or use Male Breakaway headers.

Re: MPU6150 connection failed - using Arduino Uno with LLC

Check if the MPU-6150 IC is getting detected or not using the following I2C Scanner:

Krodal I2CScan

You should get something like this:
I2C Scanner
Scanning...

Re: MPU6150 connection failed - using Arduino Uno with LLC

What is the status of Pull-ups on the bottom side of the PCB? They should be enabled using a Solder Bridge (blob).

Also, could you post a picture of your setup?

Re: MPU6150 connection failed - using Arduino Uno with LLC

INT pin should be left unconnected for RAW sketch but you have to connect the 3.3V pin to (Arduino or LLC)'s 3.3V Pin to power up the board. The following is a basic pinout (revised) to capture 6DoF data if you are using a Logic Level Converter: LV -> 3.3V (Uno and Sensor ) *Revised* HV -> 5V (Uno) ...

Re: Motion data values accuracy in IMU 6DoF

If you are using Jeff Rowberg's Code on GitHub , then the function getMotion6() is used in an example code based on Raw sensor values. If you need DMP output, you should use the MPU6050_DMP6.ino in the Examples folder. Also note that it is a work in progress and Jeff has not been able to use the DMP...
